Career: Sten was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1962, and moved to Tallahassee in 1972. He graduated high school from Maclay School in 1980. After graduating from Florida State University, he was employed at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and was the Supervisor of the Leon County Probation Department until he entered law school. Upon his graduation from law school, Sten was an associate at Nabors, Giblin & Nickerson, P.A., in Tallahassee from 1994 until he joined the firm in 2000.
